A Class of Its Own
The Scenic Discovery Yacht fleet is purpose-built to travel further in comfort and safety, with a Polar Class 6 hull, advanced stabilizers, an electronic Azipod propulsion system, and dynamic positioning that holds the ship steady without dropping anchor over fragile seabeds.
The Discovery Yacht Fleet
- Scenic Eclipse (2019) – The original Discovery Yacht, carrying up to 228 guests, sailing between the Antarctic Peninsula and the Arctic each year with seasons in the Mediterranean, Europe, and the Americas.
- Scenic Eclipse II (2023) – A near-identical sister ship exploring Australia, the South Pacific, New Zealand, and East Antarctica before repositioning pole to pole across the Arctic, Europe, and the Americas.
- Scenic Ikon (2028) – Launching April 2028, an enlarged third Discovery Yacht carrying the signature Scenic experience into the Mediterranean, Adriatic, Aegean, and Antarctica.

Scenic Eclipse is an all-suite, all-verandah ship. Accommodations range from generous entry-level Verandah Suites of roughly 344 square feet up to the two-bedroom Penthouse Suite at approximately 2,658 square feet, each with a private balcony and butler service.
